Institutional frameworks, structures of ownership regulations, and deregulations are all of great importance for the economy as a whole. In recent time many of these institutional frameworks have had to adapt to the changing requirements of the society. But these changing frameworks are now also changing the modern society of ours. The main question is: Which are the main forces behind these evolving institutional changes on the national and international level? This question is to be answered in two main contexts, using the approach of modern ekonomic theory.M.Sc Tom Björkroth studies the effect of deregulation and technical change on telecommunications. This inquiry is an theoretical end econometric study on how the tariffs are affected by these recent and not so recent changes.M.Sc.Stefan Långström and M.Sc.Cedric Frostdahl focus on the importance of the structures of finace and ownership in the Finnish economy. This project also enables continued postgradual studies within the framework of Finnish Postgraduate Programme in Economics (FPPE).There also exists international cooperation. Two of the participants (T.Björkroth and S.Långström) have participated in conferences of the EU-sponsored European Network on Industrial Policy
